Grosset Semillon Savignon Blanc 2004

price: $29
This is a discovery, and what a treat last week I tasted the Cullen Sem Sav Blanc and did enjoy the experience but it did not shake my bones in the way one of the great Marlborough NZ wines such as the Seresin Sav Blanc http://www.seresin.co.nz/.
The Grosset is a different kettle of fish all together, and well worth the very reasonable $29. The Semillon comes from the Claire Valley and the Sav Blanc from the Adelaide Hills.
This is a wine made for sunny Saturday afternoons and gourmet pizza I am feeling peckish just writing about it.

Cullen Cabernet Savignion Merlot 2000

price: $85-99
Others (famous wine reviewers) have described this as the red wine of the year. My view is it is without doubt outstanding but not quite as good as the Cullen - my advice buy both!

Seppelts Chalambar Shiraz 2001

Price : $15-25 depending where you buy it (Kemeny's in Sydney have it for $15)
this is an absolute 'perla' of a wine (love that phrase) tonnes of fruit, gutsy but not over done with tanin or oak. The grapes are grown in the Grampians in Victoria and it has picked up a swag of medals from all the shows - great value.(if you want the professionals review see below).
