Ewan died yesterday.
It is all a big shock to us.
We thought we had the Giardia under control and then he got the nasty thing on his back which didnt heal well so we took him back to the vet on Friday and they scheduled to stitch him up on Saturday - a routine thing, when they put him under the general anesthetic he nearly died, they found huge amounts of fluid on his lungs which they drained, then they took xrays and discovered that one of his lungs had collapsed.
The poor beautiful dog hadnt even complained.
We had him in for emergency surgery on Sunday and they thought it would still be routine, with a longer recovery but ok. They managed to successfully complete the surgery but they couldnt bring him back from the anesthetic.

Sore puppy
last night Ewan was a bit sore and when we looked at his neck, it was a bit weapy, when we cleaned it up the hair just came away. Today at the vet they think that maybe it was a whitetail spider bite - yuck. Poor dog he is on antibiotics for his gut, antibiotics for his skin and anti-inflamatories for his hind leg.
its so gross and we feel so sorry for him - he cant wear his nice coat and he is a bit miserable
