I have been playing with how photos from flickr can be directly embeded in your blog (which saves you valuable hosting space) and allows people to click through and see the high resolution version of the same picture.
The only downside is it does not have the fancy white border (which takes me a ridiculous amount of time to do. I can post both small thumbnails like this, or the larger image below. Click on either and it will take you through to the full photo set.
Quite interesting! Let me know what you think.

Hello! I host my pics at Flickr too and it works well. If you use the medium size version rather than the thumbnail then viewers can see all they need without clicking through but if they wanted to print then they could retrieve the full res version.
I'm no HTML guru but I'd say you should be able to add the white border without too much trouble. I'm using Blogger and I have a stylesheet entry which automatically pretties up the images I link in from Flickr (see my blog )which really needs an update when I get time.
